I want to share with you this day a favorite prayer of Saint Theresa Margaret in honor of Our Lady. She learned this prayer from her spiritual director Fr. Ildephonsus who in turn learned the prayer from a devotee of the Blessed Virgin. References are cited from: "Mary, Mother of Carmel, Our Lady and the Saints of Carmel"
Vol. II.
I venerate you a thousand times, O true Mother of my Lord Jesus Christ: - Hail Mary
I venerate you, O soverign Queen of the Angels, Empress of the Universe: - Hail Mary
I venerate you, most kindly Virgin Mary, most worthy mother of my one Savior Jesus: - Hail Mary
St. Theresa Margaret would leave notes at the statue of Our Lady on special Feast days to obtain special graces. One note found offers an insight of her faithful devotion to our Lady, "Blessed Virgin, Mother of God and mine as well, full of faith, I present myself to you with this reminder to beg you insistently for a grace on this dear feastday. I desire a great spiritual fervor and a complete detachment from all those things that prevent me from putting into practice all those aims the Lord had in calling me to a religious order. I feel I am very needy: I know that the honor of God, as well as my sanctification, are your concern. I hope you listen to me. From my beloved cell" (Stanislaus, OCD, Angelo del Cielo, 3 ed., 1934, p.81)
